I’ve never done this before, but I thought it might be interesting to look back on 2010 and pick out my favorite photos from the ones I’ve posted over the year. It’s interesting to see how my favorites change. There are times when I’ll look at a photo and just fall in love with it, only to move on to the next one a few days or weeks later. Which ones I love the best really depend on my mood at the time so it was revealing to find out which ones withstood the “test of time” as it were.
The only caveat is that I’m picking my favorites only from the photos I posted on Flickr this year – there are quite a few that I posted on this blog which weren’t posted on Flickr, or the ones that haven’t seen the light of day yet… And hopefully I’ll get around to posting those this year!
In order from oldest to most recent, here are my top 10 favorites of 2010!
At the Tip #2
February 13
Blue and Pink

EDIT: This was one of the over 160 featured blogs in Jim Goldstein’s Best Photos of 2010 project. Check it out to see some fantastic work by a huge group of photographers! I’m still working on getting through that big list.

My faves are the fiery lily and the green pathway- super vibrant and intriguing! Nice picks! I was going to do this too but there were so many photos I posted last year I took the easy route and went by Flickr’s faves of mine instead…:)
Thanks Mary! Yeah I can’t imagine – I know you post so many amazing photos that it would be difficult to go through them all. I posted less than 300 on Flickr (kind of disappointing – I definitely want to post more this year), so it was easier for me.
Great idea for a post! I’m kinda liking “A Chair to Sit on”. “Dip” is another memorable one, I hadn’t realized you visited Toronto! I’ve been doing a collection of my most popular photos from 2010.
Hey Jennifer – thanks for stopping by and for the compliments. Yup, I was in Toronto over the summer, but only for a weekend. It was a bit hectic. Cool, I would love to see your best of!

I love your bird in flight. That is beautifully composed! Wow!
I also really like how you captured a very peaceful feeling in the forest and bridge picture…
Nicely done!
Thanks so much, Chris!

Hi Preeti, catching up here. I like that you waited a week before posting your best of. Like you, I tend to love what I posted yesterday. I love Disappearings #4, which I don’t remember seeing before, and also the Magic Leaf best. Look forward to seeing more in 2011.
Thanks for stopping by, Mark! Glad you liked these. Yes, I think if I were forced to choose only one favorite, Magic Leaf would have to be it!

I love the bright colors on your images, especially first three, although different in subject, go very well together. I think the first one is my favorite, it has a very simple composition, perfect depth of field, great background and well matching colors.
Thank you, Iza! I appreciate your comments and your stopping by.
