I started this series last year, in which I planned to
highlight some of my favorite inspirational photographers
I’ve come across. Various things (i.e, laziness!) got in my way,
but I’m hoping to update a lot more often this year!

another day, another fairytale
I can’t remember when I started following Katya Horner (aka slightclutter) on Flickr, but I know that I’ve been consistently impressed ever since. Katya’s work always succeeds in showing me what a beautiful, magical world we live in. Seeing her nature photography inspires me to get out there and shoot some more, in hopes that I can get to even half her level. Being the exact opposite of a morning person, her fog series has even gotten me out of bed super early in the morning to try to capture my own magic.
I had the most difficult time picking some of my favorites. Even among these, I would call them my ‘top’ favorites. If I could, I would just show all her photography here because every image has its own story and something to love.
[This one instantly caught my eye when I saw it posted earlier this week. The light is amazing and what a perfect title!]
[Can we say, breathtaking??]
[Magic in a laundromat!]
Katya says:
“Just a girl who loves her camera and is lucky enough to make a living using it.
Other than that…
I love the Foo Fighters, Dr. Pepper, ephemera and fog. Okay, okay — you can also throw in my family, my friends and my super entertaining cat Claudius.
Oh, and trees. I love trees.”

Wow, you’re right, these photographs are quite incredible. I’m going to have to look up some of her work. Thanks for sharing this,

Absolutely. I’m so glad you like her work too!
Oh my goodness, Preeti, thank you so much! I love that you added Claudius to the mix! He’s always in the mix here, so it’s only fitting. ;)
No, seriously, I truly appreciate it. And coming from a kindred spirit — even better.
I’ll post a link on my Facebook page.
All the good things…,
Katya
It’s my honor, Katya! Thanks for letting me share your work. I think it’s absolutely brilliant!
