I was out on the West Coast recently, to visit Monterey and San Francisco. I hope to post a bunch of photos from that trip over the next few months. Today brings my first series from the trip – a couple of photos that I took at the San Francisco Botanical Garden in Golden Gate Park. As I was going through the photos from the Garden, I noticed a lot of them were focused on the plants but had an aspect of darkness to them. For me, taking photos of greenery and especially macros of plants is not unusual, but these really stood out because of the interplay between light and shadow. I used a VSCO filter to play up the warmth and darkness and viola!
Expect to see more photos from this place soon! I had a great, albeit limited, time there and if I’m back in SF, I will definitely be stopping by again!
