CBC 2021: The Many Faces Of An American Kestrel

This was my first Christmas Bird Count in the north Jersey area after moving earlier this year. It was a little different than birding in a forest. 😅 The majority of our time was spent looking for birds in urban cemeteries. It was a cold, windy day but we had a lot of fun hanging with a female American Kestrel in one of the cemeteries along our route – she made the day worth it! (Though seeing a random goat was an unexpected highlight too!)
